Welcome
to Caulfield's Hotel - holiday accommodation in Burry Port,
Carmarthenshire, in South West Wales. The area is a splendid
place to spend a few days, and Caulfield's Hotel is an ideal
base to choose for your holiday.
The
Hotel is a fine double-fronted end-of-terrace building with
a distinctly Irish look - the green paint, the Celtic-style
lettering, the map of the Emerald Isle embossed on a window.
The
owners have spent two years refurbishing the hotel, and they
entered 2003 with a highly attractive finished article. Stained
glass windows are a feature in the public and lounge bars,
which are served from a central area where the Guinness pumps
occupy a place of prominence. To the side is a pool room.
The kitchen has been central to the improvement plans, and
meals have been available from May 2003 onwards.
On
the accommodation side are four well-appointed guest bedrooms,
two twins and two doubles, all with en suite facilities and
modem-adaptable telephones.

A
spacious, well-maintained beer garden is closed off from the
road by an impressive set of wrought-iron gates. Parking is
available for 20 cars at the back of the hotel. The refurbished
harbour in Burry Port is well worth a look, and places of
interest within easy reach include Pembrey Country Park with
attractions for all ages, Kidwelly Castle and Industrial Museum,
and the Millennium Coastal Park and Cycleway in Llanelli.
